Gayle Usana
speech and language pathologist
Gayle has been a speech-language pathologist since 2001 and has always loved working with children even at an early age. Gayle received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Philippines in Manila. She received her Master’s in Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the California State University - East Bay. She is licensed and credentialed in the State of California and is also certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Gayle worked as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in private practice in the Philippines from 2001 to 2003 before moving to the United States. She has background and experience in public schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home health practice. Gayle has special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and has provided support to various ASD/full inclusion classes in the school district where she was affiliated. She also has developed an interest on Selective Mutism, having been challenged on how to help students who cannot speak out loud in schools because, as an SLP, communication is her world!
Gayle is excited to be part of the Anova family! In her spare time, Gayle enjoys watching movies, trying different cuisines, traveling and spending time with her husband, their three-year old daughter, and five-year old fur baby. The Usana family love to sing and dance - but in their home - for now!
