ace sONOMA CAMPUS
Home of the Phoenix.
Located in Santa Rosa, our K-12 ACE schools incorporates a comprehensive and simultaneous application of essential treatment modalities in our signature "Anova Method of Education" (AME).
Anova is dedicated to providing the highest quality education. We have an incredible staff of teachers and clinicians - many of whom have been with Anova since the beginning. These dedicated, talented individuals keep our students engaged and encouraged through the exceptional academic curriculum is based on the California Department of Education Curriculum Frameworks and optimized to meet the specific needs of each individual student. Curriculum includes: Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, History/Social Science, Health, Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Transition Planning.
In 2017, most of our Santa Rosa campus burned to the ground in the Tubbs Fire…leaving our students without a home. We adapted the Phoenix mascot because as this mythical bird rises from the ashes so have we. Ever since the Tubbs Fire, we have been forced to conduct classes and therapy sessions out of portables in the parking lot of our old building. While this setting hasn’t stopped us from achieving success, it was always meant to be temporary. It’s been 5 years since the devastating Tubbs Fire and we are rebuilding the school that our students and community deserve and so urgently need. A message from the ACE School Director
Dear ACE Parents,
I hope you enjoyed a relaxing summer and were able to spent quality time with your family. As we get ready to start a new school year, I want to share a few important updates and reminders to help us all have a smooth and successful year.
First, some bittersweet news — Ms. Brittney and Ms Kaitlyn who have been valued members of our team for many years, are moving on to new opportunities. We’re so grateful for all the dedication and heart they have put into our school; they will be truly missed.
On a brighter note, we have some great new staff joining us this year and also some staff changes to share:
We are happy to welcome Ms. Nicole who will be co-teaching with Ms. Tori in Room 42.
Ms. Becca, who has worked with us for several years, will be teaming up to teach with Ms. Kiana in Room 27.
Our new Behavior Analysts are Ms. Lauren, who brings years of experience from a local nonpublic school, and Ms.Sarah, who is returning to Anova after 10 years working in a nearby school district — we’re thrilled to have her back!
Mr. Clay will be splitting his time co-teaching with Ms. Alicia in Room 85 and will also be joining our Social Cognition/Counseling team.
Mr. Neil will be taking over as the teacher in the Transition Classroom this school year while Ms. Lindsay is out on leave.
We will continue our “Away for the Day” cell phone policy as it really helped students stay focused, engaged, and socially connected last year. We appreciate your support in encouraging your child to keep their phone put away during school hours.
If you would like to help us get classrooms ready, please take a look at our Amazon Wish List — any supplies you can donate make a big difference!
A few friendly reminders:
Please call 707-527-0183 or email acesrofficeadmin@anovaeducation.org if your child will be absent.
If your child arrives late, please bring them to the front office.
If your child needs to leave early, please come to the front office to sign them out.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support. After the challenges we’ve faced as a community, it’s wonderful to be settling into our new school home, and we’re excited for all the great things to come this year.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or the Front Office team.
See you when school starts on Wednesday, August 13th!
Warm regards,
Heidi Adler
