Andrew Bailey, ma, lmft

Andrew Bailey MA, LMFT is the Founding Director of Anova and is Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bailey is the original creator of the concepts behind the "Multidisciplinary Treatment of Neurodevelopmental Impairments in a Private Educational Setting" and the ACE Schools that have pioneered these concepts over the past 20 years. The ACE School model developed by Mr. Bailey has succeeded in treating and educating hundreds of students and families since first opening in 2003.
Mr. Bailey is a veteran clinician and highly skilled educational consultant who has devoted the past thirty-five years of his life to working with children and families. Mr. Bailey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1985 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 1991. Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist for nearly 30 years, Andrew Bailey has provided treatment and consultation to thousands of children and families on the autism spectrum. Additionally, he has provided hundreds of trainings and lectures to thousands of students, educators, parents and professionals on a wide range of topics, including autism treatment, behavior analysis, early intervention and public health policy. Mr. Bailey has a strong interest in legal and public policy matters as they relate to education and treatment of autism across the lifespan. Mr. Bailey was appointed as Chair of the CA Senate Select Committee on Autism’s North Bay Regional Task Force in 2012, which brought together dozens of North Bay stakeholders to make recommendations to the CA Senate on legislation related to autism. Mr. Bailey continues to be very active in advancing the interests of children and families living with neurological differences.

Rick Herbert is a local real estate investor and entrepreneur that has partnered to create several businesses throughout California, including two very popular businesses in Sonoma county; the Marina at Lake Sonoma and Sports City indoor soccer centers.  Educated with a BS degree in Natural Resource Planning from Humboldt State University, he started his career working for the California Coastal Commission and then the California Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.  In his early twenties he started a pier design/build company in Lake Tahoe that ultimately lead to ownership in Camp Richardson Resort and Marina, Lake Tahoe’s  largest summer resort. 

Mr. Herbert has recently stepped away from more than 30 years on the Board of Directors of the Marina Recreation Association, most of those years as Vice President of Northern California lakes.  Currently Mr. Herbert is serving on the Board of Directors of The Friends of Lake Sonoma as well as the Anova Board of Directors.  “ I am hopeful that my experience will help Anova’s ambitious dream to build a first class school that is worthy of Anova’s first class contribution to the local community”.

Matt Foulger, corporate secretary

Matthew Foulger, PMP is a Software Implementation Project Manager and brings his experience and understanding of student information systems, learning management systems, K-12 assessment systems and educator development software and services to the Anova Board. He helped lead the implementation of new assessment software for the large-scale assessment initiative for New Your City Schools and the digital learning initiative for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Mr. Foulger joined the Board of Directors in 2017 and was elected, by the Board, in 2018 to serve as the Corporate Secretary for Anova. He was raised in Santa Rosa and both of his parents retired from positions at the Sonoma County Office of Education. Mr. Foulger is the father of five. He and his wife Rebecca are active in their family’s education with Rebecca serving as the PTA president and Matt serving on the Cache County School District Community Council.

barry fleck

Barry Fleck’s strong work ethic carries through in his role as a stock trader and investor. Barry studied accounting and finance at the University of Cincinnati and has spent a lifetime building relationships. Barry is loyal and committed to his clients, and he is a loving husband and devoted father. Education has always held a special place in Barry’s heart which is why he is dedicated to Anova’s sacred mission.

James Hampton, ph.d.

Dr. James Hampton is a Professor of Biology at Buena Vista University and has more than two decades of experience teaching Genetics, Cell Biology, and Molecular Biology. His research students investigate aging, gene expression, plant transformation, and chemical prospecting. He is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York where he earned a Ph.D. in genetics and development. He was a fellow with the American Council on Education in 2002/2003, during which time he served as an assistant to the president of Harvey Mudd College. He has served on selection panels for the Council of Independent Colleges in Washington D.C., and as the Chair of the Finance Committee of the Iowa Academy of Science. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Hampton has served Buena Vista University as the Assistant Dean of Faculty, Special Gifts Officer, Strategic Planning Assistant and Chair of the Faculty Senate. In his spare time, he restores old homes with his wife, Patricia. Dr. Hampton welcomes the opportunity to work with students and educators at every level.

Grace Lucero

Grace Lucero has over 20 years of experience and impressive accomplishments in her distinguished career in real estate. Grace is an authentic, straight-shooter who has built her success through dedication to her clients and hard work. Originally from California’s Central Valley, she spent 20 years in L.A. working in real estate and construction. Drawn to wine country for years, she moved to Sonoma County in 2001. Grace loves to spend time outdoors hiking with her dogs. She prioritizes giving back to the community, spending time with friends and family, and rescuing animals. At the forefront of Grace’s life is her desire to help others, whether it is a colleague, friend, or complete stranger.

 

Carla Worthey-Sewell

Carla has over 25 years of experience business management, talent management and leadership development dedicated to the aerospace, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and most recently, tech and retail industries. She currently serves as the Head of Talent Management for Amazon’s International Consumer business in the Americas. In this role, Carla is responsible for leading all talent management functions (succession planning, talent reviews, talent analytics, performance management, talent movement, OD/OE, etc..) across North America, Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil. Carla has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from Belmont University & a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Benedictine University. Carla is married with three children.
