Dan Sousa
Chief Operating Officer
Dan Sousa serves as Anova’s Chief Operating Officer. He started with Anova at the inception of the Anova Center for Education (ACE) and served in multiple positions prior to becoming the School Director of ACE Sonoma in 2008. Mr. Sousa assisted in the development of the ACE Marin campus in San Rafael in 2009 and served as the School Director before developing the ACE Contra Costa campus in 2012. He currently helps to provide overall leadership to Anova programs and support teams.
Mr. Sousa received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach and later earned his Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sousa has focused on serving individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness and other neurocognitive disorders in both education and residential settings. He has also served as adjunct faculty in the Disability Resources Department at Santa Rosa Junior College and dedicates time outside of work to youth sports in Sonoma County.
